The 2007 New Hampshire Highland Games
at Loon Mountain

21 - 23 September 2007

Just behind whisky and haggis, Scottsmen love sheep. Perhaps thats why Scottish sheep have such a worried look on their faces.

The New Hampshire Highland Games takes place at Loon Mt. This setting really is similar to the Scottish highlands, and in September the weather can be alike in both places. In such a setting, with bagpipes playing in the background and fish-and-chips readily available, if people ignore the crowds and let their imaginations roam, they could truly come to believe that they are at a highland games in America with a lot of people who are trying to pretent they are in Scotland.

The group on the left is Seven Nations, one of the older surviving Celtic rock bands. The picture on the right is of Greenwich Mean Time, a relatively new group. GMT gave the better show. For many people the music at highland games - particularly the new stuff - is the biggest draw.
