Types of Fan Event

The table below shows how the fan events on this site are categorized. Examples of the kinds of event in each category are included to illustrate where you may look to find the type of fan events you are searching for. To make things easier, we have divided all of the potential types of fandom into 10 overall categories we call bundles. Each of these bundles is further divided into 10 subcategories we call fandoms.

  • 0. Fiction Based Bundle - these are the genre of fiction whose roots predate the advent of electronic media.
    • 00. Speculative Fiction Fandom.
      • At present Speculative Fiction events take place at Sci Fi cons or in small local gatherings.
    • 01. Science Fiction Fandom.

  • 1. Techno Bundle - these are the technology-based fandoms except for transportation, which has its own category. It includes Anime and Manga which postdate the advent of electronic media.
